Read Food Labels

When tracking meals, it is VERY important to read food labels.  Pay special attention to the amount of each serving size.  Also, most restaurants have nutritional information for the menu items posted on their website.  Plan your meals ahead when you are going to eat out and HAVE FUN!!

  1. Food scales and measuring cups are great kitchen "must-haves" when getting started. I remembered when I actually learned what a serving was for the foods I ate. It was astonishing. I discovered that I was actually eating three servings instead of one or even one and a half. Serving size and portion control is the key!
